Castell Henllys Activities Volunteer – Castell Henllys are looking for volunteers to help out with activities and events. Ideally volunteers will be Welsh speaking, have an interest in history and be willing to dress up in costume.
St Davids Storyteller – Oriel y Parc are looking for volunteers who can chat with visitors over the busy period and give a warm welcome to St Davids, Oriel y Parc and the local area.
Roots to Recovery – The Roots to Recovery project has been up and running for several months now and is continuing to develop. Tom Iggleden, the Roots to Recovery volunteer officer, is now holding volunteering days 3 Fridays each month. The focus is on wellbeing – social connection, a bit of physical exercise and fresh air, and the volunteer tasks will mainly be practical conservation tasks in and around the Park. These sessions are for anyone who would like to do something positive for their wellbeing. Sessions will be 10am – 2pm, with plenty of time for breaks and chatting.
Archaeology opportunities
- If you’d like to see archaeology in action there is a dig at Porth y Rhaw, near Solva from 6th June for 5 weeks
- There’s a chance to help out washing and processing finds from an excavation at Ocky Whites, Haverfordwest. Contact Fran Murphy from Dyfed Archaeological Trust for details: f.murphy@dyfedarchaeology.org.uk
