THE BOARD

Sally Boyton, Chief Officer | Project Facilitator | Marketing Consultant

Sally is responsible for the day to day operations and development of the company including; community relations, content creation, design, marketing, fundraising, sponsorship, team & volunteer management and event coordination/facilitation. She is a wellbeing walk leader and trained in nature connection leadership and Mental Health First Aid.

Sally trained as a product designer and pursued a career in marketing communications from 2000. She has worked with micro businesses through to brands on an international scale and now enjoys assisting local charities and social enterprises achieve their goals through community consultation, strategic promotion and digital content creation.

Sally co-runs 1a Aerials with her partner in Pembrokeshire and follows a personal passion to inspire the community of West Wales to live well through the development of Life Seeker. She uses her skills to support community events and fundraising initiatives and is keen to continue motivating people to adopt positive ways of living through the business.

She lives close to the coast with her partner Dave and rescued moggie, loves to snowboard, adventure in the outdoors, work with wood and has recently found a love for SUP (stand up paddle boarding).

Lise Matthews - The Ark - Haverfordwest

Lise Matthews, Director

Lise takes an advisory role to support the running and progressive development of Life Seeker. She brings a wealth of specialist knowledge from the wellbeing arena and experience of working directly with various sectors of our community to help guide our approach, the content and activities we deliver and to who.

Lise Matthews originates from Denmark and had a career within documentation and technical writing before becoming interested in complementary therapies during the 1990s. She has owned and managed The Ark health food shop and natural health clinic in Haverfordwest since 2011, is a practitioner of the Bowen Technique for musculo-skeletal issues and a kinesiology specialist with The Nutrition Detectives.

Lise is passionate about the sustainable wellbeing of our community. She contributes her time as organiser of Haverfoodfest and is an active member of the Haverfordwest Business Circle committee and the Haverfordwest Town Team.

She is married with two adult boys, enjoys fitness, walking the family dog, spending time with friends and absolutely loves cooking and healthy eating.

Philippa Stanley, Director

Philippa takes an advisory role to support the running and progressive development of Life Seeker. She brings a wealth of knowledge on sustainability, organisational management and driving action for change. Her coaching experience also guides how we connect effectively with our community audience.

Philippa designed the interactive sustainability e-learning programme YouTreeTM and was instrumental in developing the pilot Project Acorn stepped environmental management programme, now BS8555. She is passionate about the way people learn, to drive action for change towards greater sustainability.

Philippa is also a certified life and business coach, helping people to thrive and find a deeper connection to the natural environment, delivering one to one coaching and horse-guided learning from her base in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.

In her spare time, Philippa loves gardening and growing vegetables, cooking, walking, travelling and spending time with her extended family and horses.

Amanda Griffiths

Happiness Reporter | Pembrokeshire

Amanda is a freelance writer, born and brought up in Pembrokeshire. She writes regularly for Arts Scene in Wales and Mslexia online forum in addition to reviews for Torch Theatre, where she also works. She has written articles for 'Arts & Entertainment' and 'Community News' sections for local press and has recently begun tutoring English. She is currently working on her third novel.

Amanda loves long walks, travelling abroad and takes inspiration from the country and sea in Wales.

Emma Sleightholm

Happiness Reporter | Ceredigion

Emma is a freelance content writer who settled in West Wales 25 years ago. She writes blogs, websites and marketing material for a wide range of clients throughout the UK. With a background in law, health and social care, Emma is passionate about improving quality of life for older and vulnerable people and regularly works with local community care and dementia organisations.

When she’s not tapping away on a laptop, Emma spends her time indulging her love of sewing, wandering the leafy lanes of Ceredigion and trying not to take life too seriously.

Kelly Lewis

Happiness Reporter | Carmarthenshire

Kelly is a writer and freelance content creator living in Llanelli. With a background in marketing in the public and third sector she has experience of writing content for blogs, social media & websites, articles and marketing material for a range of audiences. Through her role at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT), she has a new found love of writing content that inspires people to look after their well-being and in particular, promotes the benefits of connecting with nature.

When Kelly’s not working or writing she loves to get outdoors and explore as much as she can, enjoying long walks (with her son and husband in tow when coffee and cake is promised!) and cycling the coastal path.

Jonathan Evans

Creative Digital Wizard

Jon is passionate about all things digital and founded the DigiCoach in 2020 where he offers digital support to business, schools and charities. He has 16 years’ experience in education with 10 as a Head of ICT and Digital Skills Lead. Jon is an expert when it comes to the digital products and tools used by modern organisations. He is certified with Microsoft, Google and Adobe along with knowing all there is to know about web design and social media.

When not at a computer screen, Jon is a keen triathlete having completed Ironman Wales multiple times although he’d like to have time to train more! He is also a big rugby fan and coach at Tenby United RFC.
