Meet Karen and Jeanette
Karen and Jeanette are two adventure-loving ladies enjoying their freedom as recent Pembrokeshire retirees. Jeanette committed her entire career to managing children's social services. Karen worked as a PE teacher and pastoral year head for 20 years and spent 10 years running a garden design & maintenance business in South East Wales.
Their lust for life is infectious. They find fun and positivity in everything they do. They believe age is just a number. Follow their activities and discoveries around west Wales (and further afield) and where possible, start filling your own diary with adventures.
It’s been a funny old June weather wise but somehow we’ve dodged the showers and battled against the ‘breeze’ to get out and about.
There are several little circular walks that take in wonderful parts of the coastal path. Park at St Ishmaels social club and walk to the wonderful Lindsway beach, you may be lucky to come upon a sand art design!

We usually treat ourselves to a cuppa at Tish garden centre too. The wild flowers are lovely along the coastal path still and another favourite is to walk from Kete NT car park down to St Anne’s Head! Great views and wide wild skies and seas.

The bikes have been out for a spin too and we explored over the bridge to Pembroke Dock. Lots of martine history and a new favourite food stop we happened to pass on route.

Y-Gegin is a food hall, open Fri-Sunday and set in an old warehouse opposite the Sunderland museum. Great food, a bar, and on Friday and Saturday evenings, there’s a DJ!
This is one of the joys of Pembrokeshire…. you just never know what you’re going to discover if you get out and about!

At last, Summer sun is in full flow… we’ll see you next time with more of our Wales adventures.
