Following an award winning 12 months raising over £50,000 to support Belle’s Story and local girl Belle Curran during her 18 month wait for new lungs, Team Belle continue to capture the hearts of the Pembrokeshire community, fundraising to support children with life changing conditions and raising awareness of organ donation nationwide.
10 year old Belle sadly lost her fight in April 2019, yet the memory of this extraordinary girl who worked tirelessly to represent this important cause, lives on.
In May this year, Team Belle raised awareness and funds riding the family route of the Tour of Pembrokeshire.
In June, they brightened Milford Haven Carnival with a unicorn themed walking float, adorned in pink and glitter, accompanied by a life size inflatable unicorn (worn by Belle’s mum, Stella).
Belle’s friends (also known as Mini Team Belle) completed the Pembroke Castle Abseil in June raising over £1000 for Belle’s Story. And Kelly John completed the Long Course Marathon on 7th July in Tenby.
In addition (and as a repeat of 2018’s entry), 26 members of Team Belle will complete the Cardiff Half Marathon this October, raising funds for Team Belle and Ty Hafan, the children’s hospice who supported Belle on her journey.

Virtual Race Challenge
A virtual race that can be run at any pace (or walked) from wherever you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, in your preferred location, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your medal will be posted directly to you. Complete a virtual 5K, 10K, half marathon and more. The challenge cost is £12.50 (at least £5 will be donated to Belle’s Story).
How it works:
- Register your entry here
- Make payment of £12.50 to Belle’s Story
- Clock up (and record using an app if possible) how many km you walk or run over the month of September
- Post photos to the Belle’s Story Virtual Race Challenge Facebook page
- Confirm/send your mileage evidence to Belle’s Story at the end of September
- Receive your certificate and shiny unicorn medal

Meet Belle’s Story trustees to learn more about the charity and future activities.
Walk, jog, run with us around the racecourse path at Haverfordwest Cricket Club – accessible for all: wheelchair users, buggies, dogs on leads…you may even spot a unicorn!
Feel free to wear fancy dress or pink or just your comfy gear – whatever gets you moving. Even if you haven’t signed up for a special medal, you can still join in with this event!
Belle’s Story Family Bingo
In memory of beautiful Belle and her love of bingo, Wolfscastle Country Hotel are hosting a Family Bingo day full of fun – including great music, a magic show, raffle, food and of course plenty of exciting bingo games hosted by our bingo caller for the day, Mr Bill Carne!
Music will be performed by the brilliant Nicola Miles-Bevan, lead singer of Sound Awake, that follows a thrilling magic show courtesy of Stuart Rogers, Little Monsters to start the afternoon.
There will be 6 games of bingo in all and two flyers max per person, with games costing £1 and flyers £2 each. All proceeds made will go towards the Belle’s Story charity.
