For the last 2 months, Sound Memories Radio has been collecting photographs and videos from the community, who are kindly sharing the joy of their bird tables.

From solo robins, to our Welsh nation bird, the red kite; from naughty squirrels to seagulls playing catch, they have been overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to help.

Now that all the material has been collected, Environmental Sound Artist, & Director of Sound Memories, Cheryl Beer will be creating an online exhibition and streaming The Virtual Bird Table into Care Homes, bringing the outdoors inside for older people.

As well as engaging the public, Sound Memories has partnered with The Wetland Centre in Llanelli so that the Virtual Bird Table will have a 24-hour feed, great for anyone who may be having trouble sleeping or who would like to awake to early morning birdsong.

The project is funded by FUSION, the 50 plus forum, FRG Records & Sound memories.
