Photo competition launches to celebrate community connections

CADR (Centre for ageing and dementia research) has launched a photo competition to align with global Intergenerational week 2022 to promote the connections and friendships made across the generations.

The competition is themed Moments in Time; Stronger Together and is a collaboration with the Welsh Cross party group (CPG). It aims to share their message of the importance of communities connecting – where age is not a barrier for building new and positive connections within the community. The winning photographs will be proudly displayed as part of a National  Exhibition starting at the Senedd and touring across the seven Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales.

Entrants are invited to submit photos which demonstrate these connections and relationships that are built outside of the family circle, along with a short description. The prizes on offer include an overnight stay in Cardiff for celebration at the Senedd on 15th November, vouchers, the opportunity to have your photo featured in the CADR calendar, as well as a printed calendar for every entrant.
