Llandysul flagship premises offers new opportunities for artisan glass business

After seven years in their first studio from which commissions have been created, workshops delivered and the team from ITV’s Coast and Country entertained, stained glass artists Justine and Chris from Cariad Glass have announced their relocation to larger premises on the high street in Llandysul.

In response to an increase in demand over time for buying artisan pieces and attending craft experiences for self-nurturing qualities, the creative couple have continued to deliver stunning pieces of work and ‘make your own’ glass panel courses to the community of west Wales and beyond.

The new premises boasts an impressive shop front with beautiful spacious windows to display their work, as well as plenty of space for creating their commission pieces, working on restorations and when the coronavirus situation is fully under control, re-commencing tuition.

“We’ve been so happy in our unit in the heart of Llandysul for the past 7 years, but our new premises offers some fabulous potential – we can’t wait to get stuck in!”

says Justine, who has worked alongside husband Chris for the past 7 years.

“We’ve wanted to move into creating some larger work for quite some time now, as well as some pieces that can be enjoyed outside – our new studio will allow us the space to try new things and also offers exciting new opportunities for our classes. We’ve really missed our pupils, and hope that the coronavirus situation will be much improved before too long.”

Their artisan work encompasses the beauty of their Welsh surroundings, and includes hand painted, kiln fired work as well as using traditional tools and techniques, all of which is available to order directly through their website, galleries and exhibitions.
