When restrictions set in at the start of 2020, Justine and Chris from Cariad Glass vowed that if their students couldn’t come to the studio, they’d find a way for the glass to get to them. And so it did, in the form of ‘make a mosaic at home kits’, enabling people to get creative whilst learning and enjoying some of the basic techniques of stained glass art.
Their spring kits were so successful, they sold out in a jiffy! and with circumstances remaining much the same and the festive period excitedly looming, Justine and Chris have just launched their next kit – ‘Make a Christmas Mosaic at home’.
Kits are designed to be as easy as possible to make a stunning, colourful abstract panel to hang anywhere in your home without the need for any equipment. Of course, you may be interested in making one of these yourself or if it’s really not your thing, there may be someone special who would thank you for brightening their day.
The ‘Make a Christmas Mosaic kit’ contains –
- approx 150 grammes of pre-cut random amber, green and red glass (you will have enough for your panel plus some spare bits to ensure you have LOTS of choice for creating your piece!)
- small tub ready-mix black grout
- pre-glued glass panel with leaded edge border and hanging hook to create a diamond shape (approx 16cm x 16cm)
