Aeron Valley Wellbeing Hub

Aeron Valley wellbeing practitioners create joyful, thriving community

The Aeron Valley Wellbeing Hub was founded in November 2021 by a group of local residents living in the Aeron Valley, Ceredigion.

Each member of the Hub has professional specialisms, interests and a desire to improve their community’s wellbeing.  Together we are able to offer a wide range of services, such as Yoga classes for adults, children and families, antenatal and postnatal doula services, life coaching, massage, Dance Meditation, cycle support, leaning in nature and Laughter Yoga.

Our mission is to establish community connection, where everybody feels they belong, spanning generations and cultures to support each other, reducing isolation and loneliness. We strive to offer a strong sense of community in a locality that can be isolated from mainstream services. We seek to sustain land and heritage, creating holistic wellbeing for a joyful, thriving community.

We are still seedlings, with a vision to grow and bloom into a community that includes a variety of offerings in our community halls, local outside spaces, and your own home.

We have established a Facebook group with over 400 members, a monthly newsletter and a range of regular community events, including regular local walking groups, opportunities to relax in local nature spots, community cafes, creative workshops, evenings out, picnics, play days, clothes swaps, open days and village parties.

Our group also offers:

  • An opportunity for local wellbeing practitioners, classes, and activities to introduce themselves
  • Practical solutions to involve residents and carers in activities outside or within the home
  • Online discussions ranging from general chats to information sharing, requests for a cuppa and a chat, introductions to fellow residents, recipe sharing, gardening tips, and more.
  • Opportunities to volunteer valuable expertise or life experience

Our future plans include establishing a community pantry, a local youth club and research studies to inform our next steps and ensure we are serving our community in the best way possible.

The Aeron Valley Wellbeing Hub began as an informal discussion between a small group of people with a vision in a kitchen over a cup of tea. It has quickly bloomed into a thriving and engaging community that is actively serving the local community for the wellbeing of all members.

If you also have a vision, why not reach out to members of your community and establish a wellbeing hub too?

As a small group we have achieved a lot in a short amount of time and we are always happy to share what we have learnt, so please do get in touch with us if you would like to know more about our journey or if you have any questions about how to set up a wellbeing hub for the benefit of your community.

Our friendly and welcoming Facebook group is always open to new members, whether you are a local wellbeing practitioner and you’d like to show off your services, on the hunt for community events and classes, or simply just keen for a bit of connection and support.
