Founded in 2018 by Mark Thomas and Kev Griffiths, the inspiration behind the company is the pair’s lifelong love of adventure and deep-rooted affection for the local area. Both Mark and Kevin grew up in West Wales and were inspired by their childhood escapades along its rugged coast. Whilst they continue to share those experiences with their own young families, they want to provide others with the opportunity to enjoy the same activities and adventures in this stunning part of Wales.
Director Mark, a renowned IFMGA mountain guide explains:
“Three years ago, Kev and I decided it was time to share all the fun and outdoor adventures we were having with those willing to embrace the idea of adventuring along the West Wales coastline. It continues to be an ever-evolving journey, getting to know our clients and designing individual bespoke adventures, tailored to their needs and aspirations. We offer adventure for all – a lifetime of experiences – created by nature, nurtured by us, played out by you… Every journey has a unique outcome, and one thing is for sure – every journey is totally mega!”
Each activity experience is designed to ensure that the journey is guided rather than led, so that individuals have the reassurance of safety experts on hand, but the flexibility to explore and steer their own experience.
Everyone is welcome on an Anturio West Wales adventure – locals and visitors, young and old, individuals and groups and families with children. Guiding smaller groups and providing family activity experiences are a particular passion for the team. Part of the family package also tailors the experience to help children build their skills and confidence while enjoying the adventure of a lifetime.
