Charity invites you to STAY:UP all night to end homelessness in Wales

Llamau, the Cardiff based charity on a mission to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women is inviting people far and wide to give up their bed for one night to raise funds to end homelessness in Wales. They are asking people to participate in their STAY:UP event which involves staying awake for 12 hours throughout the night of 9th October.

As their website states…’Take on the challenge of a night with your friends, family or colleagues, and cycle, walk, quiz, dance or paint ‘til morning. Tackle your tiredness, fight the fatigue, banish bedtime and whatever you do, don’t fall asleep!’

Natasha Gue, Fundraising Events Manager for Llamau shares,

“The Llamau team have got lots of fun activities lined up for those who register to take part including a drag show with local drag star Dr. Bev, a live stargazing lesson, a cooking video by Hang Fire Smoke House, a Colour Your World session by Deborah Withey at Henry Hedgepodge Academy of Art and lots more – it is set to be a really fun night that raises lots of money for Llamau.”

“However you STAY:UP, your one night without sleep could help change a homeless young person’s life forever. Will you be #UpForTheNight?”

There’s no registration fee for this event, yet those taking part are encouraged to raise as much as they can. Register your attendance on Llamau’s website.
