Life Seeker is a community interest company and we produce this newspaper as a vehicle to inspire, educate and initiate action for positive sustainable living in West Wales. Tell us what you'd like to see in the next issue.

Welcome to Issue 6

Sally Boyton - Editor

A very warm welcome to Issue 6 of the Life Seeker community newspaper. It’s incredibly encouraging to see readership continuing to rise and great feedback from the community is helping to shape the subjects we cover.

Recent conversations have led us to focus on wellbeing for the youth generation and the need for more knowledge on activities, events and spaces for those with limited accessibility.

In this issue, we share how Haverfordwest AFC have been using football reminiscence as a way to support those with dementia, celebrate 21 years of wellbeing support via woodlands with Tir Coed and catch up with Karen Penny on her 20,000 mile walk for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Haverfoodfest invites you join their food & drink fayre on 4th May, nutrition coach Nico Valla shares advice on how to form healthy lifestyle habits, the Perennial in St Davids invites you to their willow craft workshops, Sian Williams tells us why bucket lists are essential for our mental health and Spiffy introduce us to the WorryWoo monsters, an adorable range of books and toys to support emotional health in children.

As well as The Smile Files (thanks to Sian Williams this time for sharing her story), we’ve introduced two more features; Youth Matters – Cllr Josh Beynon will be sharing updates on resources and support for our younger generation, and The Roving Retirees – local couple Karen and Jeanette share their ongoing adventures as retirees in West Wales.

Visit Events for inspiration on self-care for stress, poetry writing, the repair cafe, a 5k inflatable obstacle course, a health & wellbeing fayre, kite flying at Hilton Court and more.

As always, we’re keen to hear what you think of Life Seeker so far – email me.
