Come and make your mark on Wales!
Drawn Together is an exciting pan Wales project, capturing the length and breadth of our people, environment and heritage through the eye of the Wales community.
Everyone in Wales is invited to draw what they see and over time, an interactive map of Wales will become alive through your drawings from castles and beaches, to kitchen sinks and window sills. See the map in progress here.
In October, all of the drawings that have been submitted to the project will be collated as a display in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff. This will be a fantastic chance to display the community and creativity that Wales has to offer.
Life Seeker invites you to draw together at Daisybus Gardens this month. Take time out in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Draw from any part of the gardens or sit and enjoy elevenses whilst sketching outside the tea room.
Event details:
Saturday 23rd June
10.30 - 12.30pm (stay for 10 mins or 2 hours)
Free to draw (drinks and cakes available to purchase from the tea room)
What will happen:
You are invited to turn up when you wish between the stated times.
Drawing materials (pencils and communal sketchbooks) will be outside the tea room for you to use.
You can bring your own sketchbook if you prefer.
You will be encouraged to explore the gardens at your leisure, sketching what you see along the way. You can spend time perfecting one sketch or draw several (using pencil only).
At the end of the 2 hours session, we will gather the sketches from the morning anonymously for them to be uploaded to the Drawn Together map.
The IMPORTANT BIT - you don't have to be an 'artist' to join in! This project is about allowing yourself to take time out of your routine, even if just for a few minutes and have a good look at what surrounds you, you may find you notice more, feel more connected, appreciative or inspired to make a change.
