Introducing Solid Food: 7 – 9 months
February 8 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Moving from milk feeds to solid foods is an exciting journey for your baby. Why not find out more by attending one of the one hour workshops.
The workshops are for a parent or carer to attend with their baby during the early stages of when they make the transition from puree to lumpier solid foods. They will help you get off to a good start, as well as time to socialise with other parents and their babies.
The workshop is suitable for both breastfed and bottle-fed babies and with a friendly qualified nutritional advisor you will explore:
• • Baby-led weaning and spoon-feeding. What are the pros and cons.
• Which foods are best to offer your baby and why, taking into account your family’s diet and cultural influences.
• What foods to avoid.
• How much to feed and when to reduce milk feeds.
How much does the course cost?
The cost of the workshop is £15.00 and includes recipes, samples and refreshments. When time allows there will be a hands on practical session, whizzing up simple meals using seasonal produce.
Parents are asked to bring either a car seat or pushchair in order for the baby to be safe and secure whilst parents take part in the practical part of the workshop.
